Country of residence: Japan
Languages spoken: Japanese, English

Hello, my name is Yoshi Hirose.

I am the Global Ambassador for Japan and live in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture. I am the father of two children with Bloom syndrome. We found the BSA in April 2023, when they were diagnosed, and joined immediately. At that time, our daughter was 13 and our son 11. At present, there are only five Bloom families in Japan, so it is very reassuring to be connected with the global BSA community.

Due to the language barrier, what I can do as a Global Ambassador may be limited, but I will do my best to advance the BSA’s activities. If you live in Japan and have questions about Bloom syndrome or the BSA, please feel free to email me at global@bloomsyndromeassociation.org. You can write to me in Japanese.
