Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Todd has worked in the Southwestern United States as an archaeologist, museum curator, adjunct professor of Anthropology and Archaeology, and State Park Manager since 1989. He retired from Utah State Parks in 2020.
Apart from his career with State Parks, Todd has developed many other interests including meditation, paranormal investigation, and gourd art, and is an avid tennis player, golfer, biker, hiker, and gardener.
Beginning training in Eastern philosophy and the martial art of Jeet Kune Do at the age of 13, Todd has studied with numerous meditation teachers for the past 30 years, bringing to his practice a wide variety of philosophical, religious, and meditative experience.
While serving as Park Manager at Frontier Homestead State Park Museum in Cedar City, Todd joined Southern Utah Paranormal in 2010, acting as team leader from 2016-2020 until his retirement and relocation to St. George, where he helped establish Southern Utah Paranormal, Washington County Chapter. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences of the paranormal with audiences and currently teaches “Science, Folklore and the Paranormal” at Utah Tech University.
Combining his background in archaeology with a passion for gardening led Todd to his interest in gourd art. In his spare time, Prince attends art festivals to display and sell his work and often provides demonstrations at galleries and art events.
Following retirement, he now devotes most of his time to gourd art, organizing art festivals, and advocating for public archaeology (when not golfing, playing tennis, or teaching meditation classes). He and his wife, Susie, enjoy the cultural opportunities afforded in St. George, and the great weather that allows for year-round outdoor activities.
