Are you passionate about supporting individuals and families affected by Bloom syndrome? Do you want to make a real difference in the rare disease community? Now is your chance! The Bloom Syndrome Association (BSA) is seeking motivated and committed community members to apply to serve on our Board of Directors.

Bloom syndrome is an ultra rare genetic disorder that affects many aspects of life, from health challenges to emotional and social well-being. As a community, we rely on the dedication of volunteers, advocates, and leaders to provide support, raise awareness, and advance research. By joining our Board of Directors, you’ll have the opportunity to:

1. Shape the Future of the Association: The Board of Directors plays a crucial role in guiding the vision and direction of the BSA. Your voice will help shape the programs, advocacy efforts, and resources we offer to our members.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals from diverse backgrounds who are committed to making a positive impact. Whether you have professional experience in nonprofit leadership, finance, communications, or simply a strong passion for supporting the Bloom syndrome community, we encourage you to apply.

We value fresh perspectives, new ideas, and the energy that comes from people with varied experiences. You do not need to have direct experience to serve; your commitment to helping others and working collaboratively is what matters most.

Time Commitment

Board members are expected to attend monthly meetings (virtually), participate in committee work, and contribute their expertise to various initiatives. Board members must agree to a Board Member Agreement outlining responsibilities and expectations. The term of service is three years.
